So why exactly are you sharing this? I'm sure that there are MIDIs of these elsewhere already. AWN already has 3 musicsians that I know of, including myself.

There are some at VGmusic, but they're only from AW1 (until now, as Three Headed Monkey has submitted his MIDIs to VGmusic). And if you can do Javier's Theme, that would be nice. -------------------- BEES ARE CUTE, FUZZY, AND ADORABLE.

Er, pardon my nubbishness but how exactly are you rendering these?
I mean, I assume your rendering them not reconstructing them or something... -------------------- ![]() |

I personally like them, since I can use them for fangames and such without taking up tons of space. QUOTE Er, pardon my nubbishness but how exactly are you rendering these? I mean, I assume your rendering them not reconstructing them or something... I can't think of any way to render them, so note-by-note reconstruction sounds pretty accurate to me, unless I missed something... -------------------- BEES ARE CUTE, FUZZY, AND ADORABLE.

Lemme go check if I can render things to MIDIs...
Hm. I thought I could, but it seems that I can't. Curious... This post has been edited by FreeLance_FoX: Dec 27 2005, 05:48:40 PM -------------------- ![]() |

I make them from scratch (aside the actual game music as reference). I use Anvil studio and making them note-by-note by ear. I don't want to/know how to rip from the game and just modify it. It just wouldnt be fun.

Indeed, it's quite excellent work. Methinks you should keep on with the AW midis.
Hawke's (AW2), Sami's, Drake's, Sensei's and Adder's all come to my mind... Yeah... Still sounds like it takes some time. -------------------- ![]() |

Ok than..... Recording....
That means now I have 11 songs being requested and in queue by everyone in total The current one I'm doing is Koal's/Zak's Theme, then Jugger's, Hawkes,........ I should also be buying a sequencer, so I will have to go back and improve them all - adding slides in notes, panning, fading, etc. This post has been edited by Three-Headed-Monkey: Dec 28 2005, 12:07:30 PM -------------------- ![]() |

I love these, they're very well-done. The Sasha one is awesome - I'm listening to it right now, and it sounds pretty much like the mP3 (maybe even better). I'd have no right to complain, anyway, since I don't know how to sequence MIDIs.
Great job, though. 10/10 from me. -------------------- ![]() |

Great, thanks for the support everyone! it usually takes me 2-7 days per midi, depending on difficulty of the song (how much I like the song) and how much free time I have. Sometimes the end product sounds great (Jake's), sometimes not so good (Flak's) but I can see my own skills improving. I guess If i go back and re-did Andy's Anthem, it would sound much better.

QUOTE (First Post Notes) -I am taking requests for the next AW Midi, if anybody wants a particular track sequenced- Anything from any AW game is possible, but if its on DS and AW 1 or 2, state which one you want, or I'll decide on what I think sounds better. Read the notes. @raven: how about i just do Sturm's, it'll be much easier, and save me the trouble of learning how to compose from 10 words. -------------------- ![]() |
